HOW IS BILINGUAL EDUCATION DIFFERENT IN A PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL?

There are many inequalities between these two entities although both provide tools for our personal and professional growth for our lives, in our "pedagogical practice" in Barranquilla we find different elements that contribute to private education for example: infrastructure, class schedule. It is more extensive and the equipment are relevant factors that make a better education. This time, we emphasize with the Bilingual San José school since, it has its own methodologies that facilitate the learning process of each of the students by acquiring the English language as the main language, making this more efficient by means of its own sequence didactic that has given excellent results said Teacher Marcela Quigua, who in the interview told us that her scaffolding is divided into four important steps. Modeled, shared, guided and independent; Methods such as word work are applied to motivate and integrate reading in both children and adolescents.

In the bilingual school Jorge Nicolás Abello, we find a different reality from that of the private school with respect to the way of working in the classroom. First, the teacher does not have the help of a monitor who is responsible for cooperating in the students teaching. Second, the materials used for students are few, for example, they do not have tools to help them develop their language skills. For example, we do not observe a book that students follow while the teacher is explaining the lesson. And third, we note that students in public school do not have the same English-speaking level as in private school, maybe it is because the bilingualism in the school Nicolas abello does not have long time to have implemented bilingualism. But we could notice that in the public school they do not know the CLIL elements as scaffolding.

In addition, with this we can perceive the great difference that exists between studying in an institution that contains all these tools that facilitate the learning of this language to an education that does not contain this aid.

The strategies used in San Jose school are very good for the students to develop the language, so we could see how the students developed in the class. in other words, in this case private education is far ahead of public education since it has more resources and tools that the student can use and take advantage of it to have a better learning of the language.
